Looking for the perfect place which serves distinctive, fresh and flavourful Chinese New Year culinary delights during this festive season look no further. Starting from 9th Jan to 6th Feb 2012, The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching will be introducing here Prosperity Chinese New Year menus.

Three prosperity chinese new year menus are serving as special selection of 8 courses menu per table of 10 people prices from RM788++, RM888++ and RM988++ in the privacy of any BCCK's Meeting rooms.

All this delicious meal is hard work of Chef Peter Ngu. Chef Peter started working with BCCK as the Chinese Chef on Oct 2011. Previously, he was a Commis Cook at Ming Fan Chinese Restaurant, an Assistant Cook Chinese Section at Empress Cruise Ship, Chef incharge at New Trendy Bake Restaurant, and a Junior Sous Chef (Chinese Banquet Kitchen) at Royal Adelphi Hotel. He was also a Chef De Partie (Assitant to Banquet Kitchen) at RH Hotel as well as the Banquet Chinese Chef at Pullman Hotel, Kuching.

Thanks to Mike Cheng from BCCK, Kuching invite me for food tasting this year. I am so so glad that I accepted the invitation.

The Raintree Restaurant at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching offers global cuisine prepared in French Classic Cooking style using Japanese Presentation Sills and is headed by Chef de Cuisine, Virginia Kedit.

Start of with the appetizers, Blinis Tower of Lobster Medallion, Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraiche, paired with Warm Ravioli of Duck Confit and Pumpin Puree.

For the second course you will be serve with Cream of Cauliflower with Colourful Peppers and Crouton.

The third course will be palate refresher. I so love this refresher, it has that gingery flavour with that extra tangy bang. Well is like ginger ale with lime.

For main course you can either choose Slow baked Turkey Roulade with Wild Mushroom and Truffle Oil, served with Sauteed Brussel Sprouts, Caramalizrd Chestnut and Cranberry Sauce

or Slow Grilled Marinated Sirloin on Spicy Potato, wilted Spinach with Blue Cheese, Buttered carrot, Brussel Sprout and Beef Jus. I also love this dish. The beef is so tender and juicy.

Lastly how can a Christmas does not have Christmas pudding. For dessert you will be served with Christmas Pudding with Raspberry White Chocolate Parfait.

Never in my life I have met such a rude sales person in hotel. I have make my booking few months ago. Recently I called them again to reconfirm my booking. They told me my booking is not in the system. They did help to check on the booking letter that they has fax to me few months back. I inform them that i wanted to reduce the no. of room. The sales person told me it cannot be done he need to rebook me and my room rate has changed. When i made the booking few months back i have asked the other sales person whether is there any surcharge as it is super peak period. She told me no surcharge as we are their corporate customer. Now this new person said he will charge me surcharge for the new booking. I accepted the surcharge. So he ask me to provide him my credit card for confirmation which it never happen before this. First credit card i provide him is not able to get thru. I told him i will fax to him again another card. I was so very busy this morning and I have a training this afternoon. When i reach my office he called me, the way he talk to me is like i am owing him money. I told him i was in training today just got back to the office, he replied he don't care. I was like OMG, this kind of word came out. I prepared the new document and fax to him. As there is a mistakes in filling the detail of the credit card it cannot get thru again. He called me ask me to pay cash. I am kind of reluctant to do so. Then he said "If you does not have the money to pay the deposit now how can I be sure that you will have money to pay when you check in".

If there is still hotel available around that area at this time i will sure tell him off. This will be my last time to stay there.

I was invited by Pullman, Kuching to their Christmas Tree lighting on 2nd Dec 2011 together with Yien and Rose. This event is an annual event for Pullman.

The lobby was filled with the voices of Christmas Carol.

This year, they have built the gingerbread house with smurf.

They have extend invitation to few orphanage to celebrate together with them.

The Christmas Tree and Gingerbread house was lighted with the magic wand with the magic of the lil one...

Iwent to Good Thumb with my mom and Linda for breakfast few weeks ago.

My mom ordered the SaladFish Rice while I ordered the laksa and sandwich. The Fish Salad Rice wasnot that tasty. Not my kind of taste. Laksa was a lil tasteless without putting inthe sambal and lime. It tastes betterwhen sambal and lime added.

The sandwich was reallygood. Very cheesy!

Linda ordered a bowl ofMeat + Fishball soup and a bowl of Kolo Mee. The soup is tasteless too. Whilethe noodles is soggy and you can still taste the flour.

This is the first time i went to Puzzle for their Buffet dinner. Well one word to describe the experience is that it is worth the money that i pay. The variety of food they serve is a lot. I don't even know where to start. They have the International dish to local dish and to home cook dishes. Their local cuisine can be very very local. It gives a feel that we are having it in the local kopitiam.

I have heard a lot of people commenting the Kueh Chap @ Poh Kwong Park is very nice. So two weeks ago, I went there with my aunty for supper. The taste of the kueh chap is quite good. They serve the kueh chap with chicken feet. I love to eat chicken feet alot. You can also order another extra bowls of chicken feet to go with your kueh chap. One things I don't like is that they don't add in pork intestine in it. Which is normally what they serve kueh chap with. This one you need to tell the seller to add in intestine. Sad i did not get to taste the intestine.

My friend and partner has taken over the CooCooRon"s Cafe at Gold Jade Road. We will be expecting lotsa upgrading and new menu coming up real soon. On the 7th days of Chinese New Year, Chinese Hakka clan will celebrate the day by serving Lui Chai to family. While I am now from Hakka clan my mom don't cook Lui Cha on that day. So me and my friend went to a very famous lui cha stall which situated at a corner terrace house at Jalan Intan. This stall is featured in one of the food show by Axian. Indeed it was really nice. I have went back more and more of that. This Lui Cha is so addictive.

This consist of Rice, Cangkuk Manis, Long Bean, Leek, preserved carrots and peanuts. The ingredient might be diff from others.

The ingredient of the herbs consist of 7 - 10 of herbs which been pounded and boil into soup.

Reunite in Rabbit year with Nu Er Hong, Pullman Kuching. Nu Er Hong, the contemporary chinese restaurant at Pullman Kuching proudly presents the magnificent 8-course set dinner. They are offering three type of menus - Wood Rabbit, Silver Rabbit and Golden Rabbit which priced at RM688++, RM788++ and RM888 per table of 10 person.

Each courses begin with a "Fortune Platter" Yee Sang, a luck bringing appetizer where the family members gather round the table and toss it together by chopsticks. For the Chinese community, they believe the tossing of Yee Sang to be significant to longevity and prosperity for the coming year.

Nu Er Hong is offering three type of Yee Sang that is Vegetarian "Yee Sang", Classic "Yee Sang" and Spicy "Yee Sang". The basic ingredient of the VegetarianYee Sang consist of shredded apples, lotus roots, thai mangoes, shredded pineapples, papaya shredded pickle, ginger shredded, gherkins shredded, pickled leaks shredded, preserved sweet lime, fresh lime, pomelo, white radish, yam, red carrot, plum paste, apple jam, apricot jam, crispy crackers, cinnamon ground and green Kua Yin. While the Classic Yee Sang and Spicy Yee Sang having almost same ingredient with vegetarian Yee Sang. They replaced the shredded fruits with Salmon fish. The Spicy Yee Sang has few extra ingredient which is Dried Scallop, Dried Shrimps, Dried Chili and Anchovies.

We were served with Spicy Yee Sang.

Now is the time to toss the Yee Sang, it is believe that the higher you toss the more prosper you will be. Each round of tossing will be accompanied by the good words and greetings.

Next dish is braised shark's fin soup with treasure of sea which is named "Prosperity Symbol".

I was invited to the GM's Cocktail Reception on the 5th January 2010. This reception is to introduce their new GM Mr Eric Tan and also to bid farewell to Mr. Fabrice Mini. Mr. Fabrice is going to move back to Bali for good. Wish well and good luck in future.

I love the kolomee here. The noodles are not soggy and it does not has the flour taste. which show that the owner of the the stall actually change the water that use to cook the noodles constantly. My friend told me that this is a branch stall from Siang Siang Cafe in 3rd mile. The kolo mee they operated in Siang Siang Cafe is famous for delicious kolo mee.

Last weekend, as usual I went "lepak" at my Uncle's Pork Satay Stall @ TJ Delight. The owner seafood stall next to my uncle's stall is BBQ-ing the piglet. Then i went to snap the picture of the whole piglet that has not been chopped into pieces.

As I have to go out that night so I went home after. When I almost reach home my mom called me said they have ordered BBQ piglet ask me to turn back to eat. I ask why didn't she tell me earlier that they going to order then she ask me back why I never tell her earlier that I am leaving. She said she will keep few pieces for me and it was really few pieces. I did not get to take picture of the serving. The bbq is serve with sweet sauce.

The skin of the pig is so crispy and the meat is so juicy.

I guess I can only find Belacan Bee Hoon in Kuching. Belacan Bee Hoon soup main ingredient are belacan. Belacan is shrimp paste or shrimp sauce. The belacan bee hoon is serve with rice vermicelli, cuttle fish, chili paste and sweet sauce. Some seller are innovative, they serve their belacan bee hoon with centurry egg.

This stall belacan bee hoon is from the traditional taste. The owner of the stall now is the second generation. They started of at a hawker stall by the roadside at Jalan Ban Hock Road. When the City Council started to clear the roadside hawker stall they move the hawker and put them at Song Kheng Hai Hawker Centre. I have been having this stall belacan bee hoon ever since i am very very young. It is one of my favorites.

All the time we have Seafood Cheong Fun, Char Siew Cheong fun or plain cheong fun. Duck Cheong Fun? It was delicious. It was served with sambal. The fried Vietnamese Rice Net Paper and Duck Meat wrapped with soft cheong fun skin. The Vietnamese Rice Net is crispy which give the cheong fun another taste.

Bak Chang (Zhong Zhi) - RM8++

Their Bak Chang uses glutinous rice stuffed with heaps of filling like Black Mushroom, Chestnut and Dried Shrimps. This is delightful combination is then carefully hand-wrapped in bamboo leaves before cooked in boiling stock for over 3 and half hours. We can now enjoy delicious bak chang all year round.

~~Last friday~~ The luncheon on 11/11/10 was not a planned lunch with Atika, Wee and Haizam. I was supposed to go to another office to submit something. When I was about to go off from office I bump into Haizam he ask me if i want to go lunch. He said Wee is coming with him. I ask him if Wee is going to drive and he said Yes. Got free driver to drive me out for lunch and send my things. So i followed them.

Mam Selera was previously introduce by Isabella who happen to work nearby the area. She said that the food there is good. Which caught has their attention to go try the food.

I went to checked out their fast food. There is nothing that I fancy so i settle with Ayam Penyet (fried "smashed" chicken that has been adapted from Indonesian cooking) and it was served with ulam and sambal (Ulam is a type Malay salad where they ate their vegetable with sauce that is make from shrimp paste and chili). Normally the vegetable that serve with ayam penyet are cabbage, cucumber and a local vegetable call pucuk cantik manis. At Mam Selera they topped their fried chicken with fried shredded coconut that has been fried with sugar. The taste of the fried chicken was good and i love the topping of the fried chicken but the sambal was ok only. Ayam Penyet was served with white rice.

My and my colleague was talking about the Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw that we use to have below our old office. Then he mention that there is a shop near by One TJ serve very nice Penang Friend Kueh Tiaw. The coffeeshop name was 456 Cafe. *Wondering why is the owner choose that name*. I went there with Tze Chung and my mom for breakfast.

My mom ordered Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw Special. They have the normal serving where it did not contain seafood. The Fried Kueh Tiaw is nice. Just that if it was less oily then it would be superb.

In the beginning I saw papaya, was thinking papaya and chocolate *hmmmm* taste nice? I tried on it never regretted after that. Actually i am not really a fan of pineapple and papaya. Guess next time i will only eat Chocolate coated papaya and pineapple!.

The owner of this shop has start to sell Kolo Mee since 1983 as per stated on the signboard. They have move to this new location from a stall. Now they are operating in two shop lot.

Kolo Mee is not bad. It is not using the the traditional kolo mee noodles. They are using handmade noodles.

When I went there that day I notice there is a new stall there. They are selling toast. They toast the bread over charcoal. I ordered butter and sugar toast and peanut butter toast. This remind me of my school day where my mom would tapao this for my break time. At that moment i really hate it. You know other kids get to go to the school canteen to buy food and my keep on tapao this for me. Now i really happy what my mom did for me. Cause when I want to have butter & sugar toast now i either pay for it or i make myself.

Chong Choon Cafe have another specialty food other then their green noodles and that is Green Wantan. Spinach juice has been added to the wantan skin that is why the skin is in green color. Alex call me on Saturday night and asked me out. I was actually plan to stay home enjoying my quiet night alone. He keep on pestering me to go out with him and his friend from singapore.

So we met up at Magna Carta. I have been there previously and I was not very satisfy with the food and drinks there. Anyway I think I'll give it another try this time. Hopefully everything will turn up great.

When I was about to step out from home Alex called again ask me to go over ASAP as the food that they ordered has been served. Alex and Peter has ordered Kueh Pai Tee, Pepperoni Pizza, Mango Salmon and Salad.

My previous visit I have ordered their Ice Black Coffee, it was not so good but this time round it was great.

Also the Kueh Pai Tee was not so fresh the last time but this time it was fresh and yummy. I can actually smell the freshness of the stuffing.

The pepperoni pizza look so yummy. Pizza is covered with lotsa pepperoni.

It was a thin crust pizza. Even the pizza is cold the crust is nice and crunchy.

The vegetable they use for the salad is very fresh too. The sauce for the salad is not that heavy.

The dish i like most the Mango Salmon. I don't really like cook salmon. If the fish is not fresh or the chef do not know how to cook it, the fish taste is very fishy. Normally i will take it raw with soya and wasabi. The Salmon they use is very fresh. The salmon has been pan fried to well done. It was served with mashed potato, salad and mango bits. Can actually taste hints of mango in the mash potato.

Good job Magna Carta. I will sure to go back and try for more again.

After breakfast on Saturday morning, Wendy called asking if i am interested to go Swee Kang for Ais Kacang with her. I told her that i am not interested as just finish my laksa. When i hang up the phone Alex started to tell the other about the umai. That umai has got Tze Chung and Doreen excited. Then i call back wendy to tell her that we are going. As Tze Chung and Doreen wanted to go.

I ordered ABC. His cendol is very nice as it is soft and smooth. ABC contain shaved ice with Cendol, glass jelly, red bean, jelly, sago ball and it was top up with evaporated milk and syrup. I cannot see the palm sugar syrup but i can taste there is a hint of palm sugar taste in it. I guess they have acutally mixed it with the evaporated milk.

The others ordered special. Special contain shaved ice with fruits, Jelly, sweet corn, sago ball and also top up with evaporated mil and syrup.

Doreen ordered Jelly fish. Their jelly fish is serve with Thai Sweet Chili sauce, shredded cucumber, shredded carrot and sesame seed. The jelly fish come with prawn crackers. This is the first time i ate jelly fish with prawn crackers.

As usual my Saturday morning is to go breakfast with my mom and my friend. Last Saturday we went to Chong Choon Cafe at 3rd mile. They are famous for their Green Kolo Mee. It was a hand made noodles and the color of the noodles is from Spinach.

It was a day before our muslim friend start their one month duty for Ramadhan. They will be fasting during the day time. Atika asked me and Wee out for lunch. We went to After 4 as it was nearby my office.

It was a cosy and cool place to have lunch. Setting of the place is very comfortable. I like to sit at their patio. To bad on that day the patio is full.

So i decided to order from their set lunch. I ordered Thai Chicken Rice set. It was fried chicken serve with Thai sauce. te sauce is Sweet, Sour and lil bit spicy.

I have 2 hours lunch break yesterday as usual cause it was Friday. I could not decide where to eat so I called up Adrienne to ask her out for lunch. We went to The Spring, we could not decide what to eat too. I suggested to have Silhouette Pizza. I miss their pizza very much.

We wanted to order Turkey Ham and Mushroom but it was out of stock so we settle for Pepperoni Pizza. One piece of pizza is RM12.00 which is enough for 2 person. We top up another RM1.50 for extra cheese. Silhouette Pizza is thin crust pizza. Thin crust pizza also known as New York Style pizza.

Look at the cheese! It was so so nice. The pizza was really really yummy. We plan to go back there again. This time we going to try to add on two time more cheese.

I have told all my close friend about my family pork satay history before. My grandpa was the one who first started to sell pork satay in Kuching. The first stall was setup at Odeon cinema where the Taman Kereta is situated right now. Then they move to the the street next to Capitol Cinema, that is where Tun Jugah Shopping mall situated right now.

On Friday 30/0710, my uncle who has taken over the business after my grandpa pass away re-open a stall at TJ Delight, Tabuan Jaya. The food court is situate next to Plaza Tabuan.

From a stall move to a cafe. It was a real good business. Guess you can imagine how good their Nasi Ayam Penyet. I went there with my colleague Atika and Wee during lunch time. My ordered my usual drinks Kopi - O Peng Kosong, Atika ordered Ribena Kosong (I ask atika what is Ribena Kosong? Ribena how can it be without sugar? She told me is only ribena and plain water. Normally they will mix ribena with sprite / 7up) and wee ordered kopi peng.

I order their specialty Nasi Ayam Penyet. Nasi Ayam penyet was served with ulam (Local Salad), ayam goreng(Fried Chicken) and sambal.. I love the ayam goreng, the skin of the chicken is very crunchy. Only that the sambal for the ulam is really really spicy.

I have a heard a lot about this hakka mee shop but i do not know where it was situated. Until recently i walk pass by that shop and saw the stall name. I went back to that shop two weeks ago on sunday.

My mom and aunty ordered the Char Siew hakka noodles. Taste good as they use lard instead of veg oil and you can see the "Chu yu cha" on top of it too.

I ordered Mince Beef Hakka Noodle, it use the same hand made noodles. The taste of the noodles is ok but not as tasty as the cha siew noodles.

Tze Chung ordered Lamb Hakka Mee. I do not how it taste like as i do not like lamb. According to Tze Chung it was very nice. I trust his taste as he was a good cook himself when he says is good mean it is good.

Went to this new place last night with Roland, Chris and Daniel. Roland just got back from Singapore and wanted to go to some place new. We planned to go to Secret Sanctuary at Stutong Indah but cannot get to go to the pool side as there was a private function going on. So we switch to Magna Carta. Since Alex has been saying good things about it. So we give it a try.

The owner of the place was the previous owner of Magenta Restaurant. The place is very cozy and nice. The indoors decorated with Colonial Fusion decor. You can enjoy your drinks and food at outdoors patio shaded with trees over century old and also enjoying the view of famous Waterfront, Istana, Fort Margherita and the new Dewan Undangan Negeri.

We ordered Kueh Pai Tee. Half dozen for RM 10. The Kueh Pai Tee was nice. It was a pastries that look like a top hat and stuffed with veggie and mushroom.

I have ordered Iced Coffee. When they serve me with the coffee I thought Roland has ordered Iced Tea. The smell and taste of the coffee is very good only things is that is that the color of the coffee is kind of light. The coffee cost RM7

I had long hour lunch break on Friday. So i decided to ask my friend out for lunch last Friday. We went to The menu at Jalan Keretapi. One of the owner was actually a friend of ours.

I ordered Fried Emperor Noodles with Mushroom. Noodles was delicious. When they serve me the noodles i can actually smell the dried mushroom fragrant.

For my friend she has ordered Tepanyaki Chicken. It is a grilled chicken serve with Tepanyaki Sauce.. The sauce and chicken was nice. The dish actually served with green lettuce and mashed potato. The mashed potato has not taste at all.

My another friend ordered Spaghetti in white sauce. Turn out the the sauce is to watery and the sauce is not creamy nor cheesy. Not recommended

My friend brought me to this place call Barong Tinuk last week. This restaurant serve all kinds of local delicacies.

My friend ordered Linut for us. Linut is a kind of starch that make from Sago. It looks like glue to me. You have to eat this with the sauce that contain belacan (prawn paste), garlic, onion and chillies as the main ingredient.

Mommy's Birthday Feast @ Happy Valley

If you have followed my blog previously you have noticed that I have few post on Happy Valley. This time i brought my mom there on her birthday. As she cannot decide what she wan to have for her dinner.

She ordered for Fried Rice Special. Fried Rice came with curry, egg and prawn cracker. I tried the curry. It was nice. It was not very oily. There is nothing special about the fried rice. Just normal fried rice. The prawn cracker over cooked.

I have ordered fish and chips. I could not decide what to eat. I wanted to have some fish and the waitress actually suggested fish and chip to me.

The fish is good and it was a very big piece of fish.

As the BBQ dishes is a must to order. I have ordered BBQ pork. They have beef, lamb and pork.

The BBQ pork is very juicy. Normally BBQ meat will be a bit dry. But this is very juicy.

I love it. You can either have it with lamb curry, fried chicken and chicken curry. I have chosen curry chicken.The nasi came with curry gravy, pickled onion and another pickle which i dunno what is that. I love the pickled onion very much.

Went to Bombay Masala at Jln Rubber on monday with my friends. We are suppose to go to Akhmar Curry House but they were closed. Then we switch to Bombay Masala.

I have ordered Roti Naan Cheese.

I like it. In the bread contain cheese and on the outer part there are melted butter. Which make the bread taste even better. Can just ate like this.

But i dun quite like the curry gravy.

I have not seen coffee served in this antique for long long time. Was suprise when they serve it to me. It actually make the coffee taste better (psychology effect).

My mom had Pork Rib Noodles. The bowl is big but the noodles is just a lil inside. Taste was good.

I had Lo Mee. When they serve i got shocked. Not to sure i was able to finish it. I love the gravy very much. It was serve with and egg, so before u eat it break the egg yolk and stir it in. This will make the gravy creamy.

This is the all time favorite of Kuching ppl for supper. The porridge has mince pork and pork liver. You can either choose to have it with egg. I prefer mine to have egg in it. Their business hour start from evening untill 3-4 am in the morning. The porridge is very tasty.

I went to lunch two weeks ago with rowena. Not sure where to have our lunch. When we pass-by bormill estate we saw a new place opened. I ordered their black pepper beef set lunch (RM 5.00). The set lunch consist of one white rice and one type of meat. There are few others type. The meat are serve in a hot plate.

The beef is very tender. Black pepper sauce is thick. Overall i like it.

I like the sandwich here. Normally i will order this first while waiting for my food to arrive. The bread is toasted till crispy. The egg and ham in there is not oily. I recommend this.

Went to 668 Cafe at 101 for breakfast with Tze Chung Tze Chung told me to try the Pan Mian there. He said is very nice. The Pan Mian here is nice. I like it very much, though it looks oily but it was not.

My mom had the Seafood Claypot Mee. The broth for the soup is full with the prawn taste. If you like strong prawn taste it will taste good but for me i am not really into prawn broth that much.

I have been hearing alot from my friend surround me to ask me to check out this place laksa. The first time I went there their laksa has finished. So last thursday I decided to go there for breakfast. I had the laksa.

The laksa was quite good. The gravy is just nice not to creamy which is how i like my laksa. Well i recommend this one to everyone but make sure to go early.

This is quite a famous spot for chicken porridge and their Fried Chicken Wing. To bad that night when we are there they run out of Chicken Bottom but the owner ask me to wait for another 30min for the next batch of Chicken Wing to be ready. My friend decided to do take away.

We settle with the Fried Fish ball. That also they left with two skew. The Fish ball was nice. It was crunchy on the outside and soft in side. They have actually coated the fish ball with some spices. The fish ball was served with their home made sweet and sour sauce.

This is me and my friends favorite spot for laksa after clubbing. The owner only start her biz at 7pm until wee hour. Janet Lau introduces me to this place. She told me that i must try the laksa there cause it was really really nice. So i gave it a try and true indeed was nice. The gravy was not that heavily spiced nor the santan was to heavy.

RM 4 is the normal price. RM 6 is for special and "cheng". This is the first place i found in kuching that they have "cheng" laksa. Cheng means there is no bee hoon in the soup, there are prawn, shredded chicken, shredded egg and bean sprout with laksa soup. for those who wanted to go on diet should get "cheng".

Not long ago my cousin ask me out to go yam cha with them. That was already like 11.30pm. As his shop is around tabuan jaya area he wanted to go to 98 cafe near to 1 TJ. The seafood stall owner introduce him to have pork ribs curry. The owner said they don't cook that dish all the time. At first I was thinking to have coffee only no food. So my cousin in law and our friend ordered the pork ribs curry rice. When the food was serve the curry does smell good. Got so hungry after enjoying the smell. At last i ordered the curry rice but never regretted it as it was so good. The curry gravy is so thick but it was not that oily.

This cafe is in a very secluded space but still there is lotsa ppl patron this cafe. They serve western food. If you guys know where Dewan Badminton Stapok is then you will be able find this place.

Garlic Butter Dory Fish :- The fish is not over cooked, it is still tender and juicy. It has hints of garlic and butter fragrant.

Carbonara Spaghetti :- Very creamy and cheesy. Me and my friend really love this.

Mango Smoothies :- According to the owner of this cafe, they use one whole mango for a glass of smoothies. The mango is been blended with vanilla ice cream. The owner said that they would not have this smoothies all the time as they will only serve if they are able to find good quality mango. This smoothies is RM 8.80

Me and my friend spend not up to 50 for this meal. Price is reasonable as the portion is kind of big.

If you guys remember my previous post about happy valley set lunch. I like the babi ponteh so much. If the set lunch does not come with babi ponteh i will settle with my second choice which is their Nasi Lemak. The Nasi Lemak cost RM4.50. It come with Ayam Masak Merah, Fried Peanut and Anchovies, half Hard Boil egg, Sambal and Coconut Milk Rice.

The rice has the coconut fragrant but it is not so oily. Sambal is spicy and yummy.

The pancakes that they sell here is kind of special, it does not looks like those pancakes that i normally had. It looks like apam balik (A type of local delicacies). The normal apam balik is with peanut and sugar. This one is serve with Ham and Cheese. There are few other flavor too. Guess this is when east meet west new food been created.

If they have shred the cheese and spread it out it would be better. As for now the cheese is just in the middle. Or they can put a lil mozzarella cheese in charge at a higher price. Don't mind to pay extra for the mozzarella cheese or extra cheese.

Mixed pork soup & Kolo Mee :- Bishop Gate

I love the soup that been serve here. Well it was really famous in kuching. Normally you have to wait about half an hour to get a sit and then another half an hour to get the owner to take your order and then another 20 min or more to get your food serve for you. But i dun mind to wait for it. As it was so good everybody is queueing up for it. Most kuchingites would know where this place is.

For the new comer that has never been to the shop before, please do not mind the way they talk to their customer. New comer will normally find him really rude. Well the way he talks is loud and rude but he was only joking.

The plain noodles. I like the noodles with lotsa black vinegar and fried onion.

And now the Soup. Yummy........ They have prawn, minced meat, pork intestine, fatty meat, seaweed, Salted veggie and fish cakes.

The other day i went for lunch with my friend at Kwong Hup Cafe. Most of the food there has finished. So i thought to give the laksa a try. The laksa came out to be very disappointing. The gravy has not laksa taste and the prawn is so small. This bowl of laksa cost me RM 4.

I love to go too happy valley for their set lunch. Their set lunch normally come with 3 type of dishes and a soup. It cost me only RM 5. Normally I will try to look out for those day that the set lunch come with Babi Ponteh. I love their Babi ponteh.
