Ippudo Ramen @ Pavillion, KL

George brought me to this place last year,  I did not get to blog about this place.  He told me he first tried Ippudo Ramen in Singapore. He is not sure that if Malaysia's will be as good.  He told me he tried Ippudo ramen in singapore with dark oil.  I was wondering what dark oil is that. I found out on the menu itself is garlic oil.

We order two type of ramen to try.

IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil. Served with thin noodles, pork belly, kikurage and spring onions. A re fined, modern-style ramen.

AKAMARU SHINAJI

IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth served with ultra-thin noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, kikurage & spring onions. Classic Hakata-style ramen.

SHIROMARU MOTOAJI

The Ramen broth is really thick.  I like the AKAMARU SHINAJI Ramen, the black oil does really make the broth tastier.  

Summer House @ Jalan Reservoir

This place is located near to Sarawak Muzium, there use to be a play ground in between the museum and Summer house.  When I was young my parents would bring me here on weekend.  I would round around the playround.  Nearby the play ground there is place I am not sure how to describe it,  they have a few crocodile in there and some aquarium with fish in there.  I am always excited to see the crocodile.  I do have few old picture of the place.  I need to look up for it. Every sunday there is are band playing at the pavillion near by summer house.

According to my mom this use to be a very famous dating place during their younger time.  The boys will bring their girl friend here for a bowl of ABC and accompanied with rojak or belachan bee hoon.   During my high school time,  I will pass thru here everyday when I walk home from my school.  My school is situated across the road.  A lot of my schoolmate hang out at this place after our saturday school activity.

I went back there again after so long, I can't even remember when is the last time I there.  This time I went there to bring a blogger from Brunei for his food hunting session.  He is Cookie Monster from http://www.thanislim.com.  I am so happy to meet a foodies from another country.  

The structure of Summer House still maintain as last time.  The place has changed owner but they still sell almost the same things.  ABC, Belacan Bee Hoon and Rojak.

There is one things that is missing is the band.  To bad there is no band playing there anymore.  If there is then it was really back to the old time.  

The play ground is no longer there anymore it has been converted to water fountain.  I can't be running around anymore.  No more see saw, no more swing, no more slide....*LOL* *as if i am still able to run around like when i am young* 

Meet Fresh @ Pavillion, KL

After our meail in Ding Dai Fung me and Hopey walk around to see if there is new things for us to try.  We started to do survey for our makan makan trip in July.  We pass by this kiosk name Meet Fresh.   So cute the name and the logo too.  You see the table no. plate.  It will vibrate when they try to look for your table. Great idea right?

I ordered Meet Fresh Signature Herbs Jelly. It is something like ZenQ Signature just that here they do not have choice of shaved ice.  If i am not mistaken Meet Fresh only has soya shaved ice.  They also gave you the cute lil creamer cup for you to add on to your dessert.

Ding Dai Fung @ Pavillion, KL

I was watching some vlog on you tube few months back.  This couple they went to a place in Seattle called Ding Dai Fung.   I was like ooo ding dai fung eat dim sum.  RLOL.  Then few days before my trip Yogyakarta I saw my cousin post on her FB that she is having dinner at Ding Dai Fung.  I was like ooo KL also got Ding Dai Fung.  Nothing much.  While we are on the plane Hopey was telling about his cousin from Bentong purposely drive all the way to Pavillion to eat Xiao Loong Bao. Her cousin told her something like Michelin Star Xiao Loong Bao.  She said maybe cause she could not remember the name.  When we meet up with my cousin at LCCT airport she told me that Ding Dai Fung is at 1Utama.  We were so happy as we can actually take a bus from LCCT to 1 U straightaway.  We went but it was a mis-information there is no Ding Dai Fung at 1U.   Then we actually decided to go and eat when we come back from Yogyakarta as we going to stay over nite in KL.  Then Hopey said maybe that is the place where her cousin in the Michelin Star Xiao Loong Bao.

After we came back from Yogyakarta we went there.  HAPPINESS!

It is after lunch hour and there is still a lot of ppl there.  We ordered their michelin star Crab Meat Xiao Loong Bao and Hot and Spicy Noodles

Indeed the xiao loong bao is very good! nyum.

The hot and spicy noodles is so so only.  Nothing to shout about.
