Black Bean Coffee @ Carpenter Street

When Sin posted in Sarawak Foodies group about this shop, it has gotten me curious.  I went there on a Sunday afternoon after my breakfast at Kim Joo Cafe and I ordered a cup of Cappuccino.  The owner of the shop told me that all their coffee bean are locally planted and they roast the coffee bean them self.

The coffee is comparable to Starbuck!  The aroma of the coffee is so great.  Coffee love try it and let me know what do you think of it.  Our very own Sarawak Gourmet Coffee.   They also sell the coffee bean there.

As usual Sunday morning breakfast is the hardest for me to find food.  I don't know what to eat.  My mom suggested Shan City @ Brighton Square.

I ordered Dried Curry Pan Mee.  The smell and the taste was good but it is a bit spicy for me.

HIjau @ BDC

As usual me and my tham ciak group went out to hunt for food on Friday nite.  Few weeks ago we went to Hijau @ BDC.  Our aim to go there that nite is to try out Great Burger but to bad it was not open.

I have ordered the fried noodles.  The look of it was not good but I love it.  It was so good and delicious.  Believe me it was not oily at all!

One of my friend was telling me that I should try the Crab Fried Beehoon.  They use the whole crab to fried the beehoon.  Dennis went and ordered it and it was RM18.00.  When they serve the dish, it looks really really good! But for me the taste of it was so so only for my liking only.  The taste of the beehoon does not have anything special, I guess is the maggie seasoning over powering the taste of the crab.  Correct me if I am wrong.  Who ever that have tried this do let me know what do you think of it?

Noodle Descendant @ Padungan

The famous Bishopgate noodles as move to a new premise.  Their new premise open on the first day of Hari Raya.  I give up my Hari Raya visiting to go to the new place, to bad the place is so pack that I can't even get a sit.  I went back there again on the second day it is still the same.  Marie, Hong and me decided to go there on 22nd August at 7 am in the morning.  Guess nobody wake up so early to go there.  Indeed when I reach there at 7am their shop is only half open the owner has started to boil water though.  The lady owner ask me "so early kah?" I reply "yalor house very near" .  Then she said come in sit down first.  by 7.30am that whole place is pack with ppl.  Some of them leave after the owner tell them they have to wait.

A nice new clean shop now.  Just wish that they would have more sit.

Big Hand @ Third Exhcange.

Went breakfast with my usual breakfast gang and tham ciak group gang last saturday.  The plan is to go to Tar Zen at Third Exchange.  As it started to rain and there is not table available in door we move to across the raod which is Big Hand.

My mom ordered Kueh Chap.  The owner of the stall told me that Kueh Chap finished but the wife came over said got one more bowl.  So we do manage to get the last bowl of Kueh Chap.  When we were serve the soup looks thick.  As usual I will steal some spoonful from my mom's food just to try out.  The taste of the soup is kind of tasteless for my taste.  I am not sure is it because of last bowl?  Please leave a comment if the Kueh Chap here is normally good.

I ordered Laksa.  Wow laksa was super fast.  After I have ordered I went back to my sit, my food was serve within few minutes. First impression of the laksa was the soup is watery.  The soup has only spicy taste to me.  As I known laksa is cooked with multi type of herbs. I asked my friend around me to have a taste the gravy and they agreed with me about the taste.

Vegetarian Sarawak Laksa @ Garden Park, Stutong Commercial

I went back to this place again after the first trip few weeks ago.  As I was so tempted to try the Vegetarian Laksa.  I was wondering if it would taste like the normal laksa.  As you know laksa without the prawn head broth it will not be good.

I will go back there again to have this.  As it was good. :)

My second part of Kuching Festival Food Fair.   There is not much of food I tried out after the first part.

YienYien introduce me to this soupy meat ball and I got hooked to it.  The stall owner said they import the meatball from singapore.  When I told my friend from singapore about this meat ball, he said he has never heard of it before.

This fried oyster is a bit to oily for my liking.  I wish it will not be so oily.

From Yakitori stall,  I got my fav quail egg from this stall.  I guess this is the type of food that I can have once a year only as the cholestrol is too high.  Guess the bad food is always good!

Curry Fish ball (Nyum Nyum)

My friend has been raving about the Bacon Burger from German recipe, so I bought one to try.   It was pork burger with few stripes of streaky bacon. Wish the patties will be juicier and the bacon is crunchier.
