Chicken Rice @ World Cafe, Central Park 3rd Mile

I have heard a lot of ppl recommend me to try the chicken rice at this shop.  Few Friday ago, I went to have lunch with Hopey at this shop.  During lunch time it will be pack with ppl.  As there steam their chicken till it cooks not like what the other chicken rice stall they will cook the chicken in big pot of water.  Steamed chicken skin will be tastier and not soggy like those that been put in water to boil.

We were served with soup first.  My first taste of the soup was a shock.  RLOL! It was really salty.  Then I wonder if they actually make a mistakes that day,  so I asked Hopey if the soup is always like that?  She said yes! Ok nm soup salty is fine with me as it was not the main dish.

Then our rice was served, also the rice a bit salty for my taste.

Lastly our chicken arrive after 20min waiting.  The chicken skin is is nice does not look soggy.  Chicken is tender and juicy! Then again it is a bit salty for my taste.

Overall the chicken is tender and juicy.  Just wish that if they did not cook the rice that salty it will actually help to balance out the saltiness of the chicken.  I just realise that they did not serve us with soya sauce.  Maybe that is why they did not serve us with soya sauce as it is already very salty.

Mother's Day Dinner @ Ling Loong, King Centre

We went to Ling Loong @ King Centre for Mother's day dinner,  as our earlier plan didn't workout we decided to go there.  Ling Loong is quite famous for seafood.

Fried Crab with Salted Egg,  I don't really eat crab but I tried the salted egg and butter bits from the dishes.  It was yummy!

Fried Crab with Salted Egg - RM 23

Preserved Vegetable with Pork Belly Stew, it came with some steam bun.  When I reach there I saw almost every table has this dish.  My expectation of the dish it is really really good but to bad it was not really that good.  The preserved vegetable taste is not there that cause the pork belly and the stew broth is kind of bland

Oyster Omelette the oyster is so small.  Nothing to shout about.

Fried Midin with red rice wine,  it was good.  Midin is a kind of fern that grow in the wild.

United Cafe @ Jalan Green

One of the afternoon, me and my colleague went out for lunch.  We could not decide where to go when we got out from our office.  When we reach the intersection of green road and jalan keretapi traffic light we then decide to go to United Cafe,  as Wee and Helen has not been there before, so we decided to go and try.  When we reach there most of the food has finished.  So we decided to have some dishes from the seafood stall at the back of the coffee shop.  Each of us ordered a type of dish to share.

Fried hokkien mee was ok but i wish there is pork lard in there.  Pork lard will enhance the total taste of the noodles.

Cantonese Kueh Tiao taste is a lil bland.  If there will fried the Kueh Tiao until a lil burnt with that smokey aroma it will be nice.

TGIF Night @ Peach Garden, Jalan Song

My usual Friday night with my group of friend.  We wanted to go to Big Nose at Jalan Song but it was not open that night so we switch to Peach Garden Cafe nearby.

I reach there late, my friend has ordered fried pork and chicken wing.

The fried pork belly is ok but a bit to salty for my liking.  Chicken wing was so so only.  I was craving for some Fruit Rojak.  Malaysian style fruit salad.  This stall is located at the road side of the coffee shop.  The owner is selling fresh fruit. The rojak is surprisingly really good! Worth trying.
