Sing Kwang Big Pau @ Jalan Padungan

This shop is famous for their super big steamed pork bun.  They have been there for more then 30 yrs or maybe 40 yrs. I love their steamed bun very much.  The meat is well seasoned and not dry.  The one thing that for sure is that their egg is getting smaller.

The plate I use is the plastic plate that I got from Ikea.  If you have that plate you might know the size of it. :)

Tiny quarter of egg in there....sad....but it was still ok I still love it.

Fu Yu Cafe @ Jalan Goh Meng Teck off Jalan Sekama

I have been frequenting this shop quite often. I love the tomato noodles here. The tomato noodles is serve with fried fish fillet. You can actually taste the tomato taste in the gravy and it is well balance of sweet, sour and saltiness.

   

 Their Kolo mee is quite good too.

   

 There is a new stall which selling lotsa nyonya kueh. I like the Yam Kueh. It was top with salted veggie and dried shrimp. Very good!

  

Monkeebar @ Jalan Song Thian Cheok, Kuching

This bar was open awhile ago and it was always crowded.  One of the evening Wendy called me to ask me to go for a drinks with them.  I was kind of reluctant at first cause I had a dinner to attend that evening.  After the dinner I decided to go there for awhile only but I stick around until quite late that nite.  It was a nice place to chill out.  It was an open concept bar.  One thing for sure is their beer is not expensive at all.

It was interesting to learn that 1/3 of their profit will be donated for the conservation of orang utan in Borneo.

I have been frequenting this place since 2 yrs ago.  Whenever I have the chance I will ask my colleague to come here for lunch. Reasonable price, good food and nice environment.

This is my favourite dish, Assam Chicken.  The well balance of sourness and spiciness. It is very appetizing.

The Curry Chicken is not bad.  The Santan is well balance.

Fried Cangkuk Manis with egg

Absolute Tribal Restaurant (ATR) @ Jalan Tabuan, Kuching

After hearing so many ppl talking and asking me to go and try out the food at Absolute Tribal,  I went there atlast with my colleague few weeks ago.  Lotsa ppl were talking about the laksa that they serve is really good.  Without hesitation  I ordered their laksa,  Wee and Helen ordered the Buttered Chicken rice.  We also ordered the fried oysters to share.

Their laksa lean towards more of curry laksa rather then the traditional sarawak laksa.  The santan is on the heavier side.  For me with RM 8.00 is kind of expensive but considering the environment of the restaurant well that should be the amount that I need to pay.  While for the taste of the laksa it is not very to my liking as I love my traditional Sarawak Laksa more. If you guys like Sarawak Laksa that lean towards more curry laksa then you may want to give this Sarawak Laksa a try.  Remember to add the belachan and the lime to enhance the taste of it.

The fried oyster is really good! I love it!  The oyster is very fresh.  Truly recommend to try it.

Butter Chicken Rice I did not try but looks kind of good.
