Fried Chicken Wing @ Expert Cafe, Jalan Song

Although this chicken wing may look like normal fried chicken that has nothing special on it.  Well that was my first impression of it too.  Give it a try you will have another opinion about it after you tasted it. It was fried to perfection.  The skin is crispy but not oily.

liew: English is English. Anybody with half a brain would know that to be taken seriously in the blog world English has to be immaculate. Its a matter of professionalism. If you can't do things properly then it is better to do nothing at all.

Its such a pity, the pictures and effort taken is quite commendable. The lack of English just makes it feel like a thrash blog.

What a bloody pity. Just look at the readership....I'd say 1 visitor a day at most. What a waste of effort. Feels like some Indian spam blogger.

Trust me I know the difference. Its my job.

Arthur : Atleast i try my best to write in english although it is not a prefect english. I will try my best to put up something with a perfect english. If i give up now i will never be able to improve my english. Next time if you have any comments on my english u can email directly to jacqckl@gmail.com

Liew : Thank you. Well we need to accept criticism from ppl then only we will be able to improve.

ah...professionalism...please?

I'm sure you know to at least check your spelling and sentence formation before posting right?

Prefect or perfect? just to name one instance.

I fail to understand why you can take such good pictures with such attention to detail but can't be bothered to check your copy before posting.

I've never asked you to give up. I've asked you to improve your English. I'm doing you a favour here by pointing out the obvious.

My company has an interest in food blogs and you have been earmarked for a review. As it stands, it will fail. I would however love to come back in 6 months and find an improvement.

I just can't tolerate people who would fight for mediocre performance by using racial background & rights. Liew, it is understandable that you treated Mr. Smith's criticism as insults seeing that your English is primary one standard. Keep your opinions to yourself when your comprehension is of primary one standard.

Jac, don't be dishearten by criticisms. When you open up your work to public display, you must be prepared to take criticisms. If you only accept praises, then there is no desire to improve on anything for you would think that your work is adequately appealing. Don't fret, you've got friends who'd help & who don't need to be rewarded ;-). Well, perhaps a few treats at 101 will suffice lah.

Ok... I have a question. Why didn't any of you (Arthur, liew, anonymous, karen) leave a link, or at least a valid one, so we can counter-visit? Her English is not perfect, but hey, give her some credit for trying.

Dear Coffee Girl,

To answer your question of "Why didn't any of you (Arthur, liew, anonymous, karen) leave a link, or at least a valid one, so we can counter-visit?" - I tried using my google account to respond but it didn't work. I'm not tech savvy so am a bit ignorant of how things work here.

However, we must admit that Mr. Smith has a point or two. Yes, her English is not perfect and there is no perfect English anyway. And yes, visitors to her blog can see that she puts a lot of effort into her work. When you open up your work for public display, you've to be prepared for criticisms. Praises were given to her photographs, her effort but not her write up which some people view as the critical factor in successful blogging. Cheers to you all.
